The ISE began trading on May 26, 2000, and is the largest equity options exchange
in the U.S. The ISEs unique market
structure and technology for
trading options enable the Exchange to provide deep and liquid markets with competitive
prices.
Orders from customers are the
highest priority on the ISE.
Features of the market include:
Away
Market Price Protection
A customer order will not be automatically executed against the ISE BBO if
another options exchange has posted a better price.
When the ISE does not post the best bid or offer (BBO) in an option, orders
are presented to the PMM for
execution. The PMM may match the better away market price or attempt to get
the better price in the other market. |
